It is arguable to claim that all humanity has been impaired by some issues such as technology, over-population and environmental problems. The fact that they influence our lives is undeniable but are they potentially harmful?

Technology has been improving astonishingly fast, demanding on people, qualified professionals. Those who do not update their skills, take the risk of losing their jobs. Although it is thought that the job market is shrinking and young people have reduced prospects for work, more and more new types of jobs have been created due to this technological improvement, such as online customer services and support. Such advances, for instance in telecommunications and Internet, allow us to know worldwide news, research anything without having to leave houses, workplaces or even schools, as long as there is a computer and a connection. Not to mention the easiness mobile phones offer.

Over-population means not only have people been living longer, but they also are ageing, given that medical aid programmes are working towards creating a healthier population. On the other hand, nature itself is already taking care of this concern, with catastrophes and natural disasters happening through the globe, such as tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes and volcanic eruptions.

Questions concerning environmental problems, including global warming, pollution, loss of species, climate changes, destruction of ecosystems endanger all life on the whole planet. Despite the fact that the population is held accountable for those problems, awareness has been raised and necessary steps have been taken to soothe them. An agreement of industrialised countries reducing the emission of greenhouse gases is one example, as well as preservation of green space and reforestation in some regions. Another way to protect the environment is reduction of the amount of waste by recycling.

It is clearly noticeable that one of the most important attitudes towards mankind's brightness is accepting world's evolution, which does not mean being optimistic but just realistic, seen that development is something unavoidable.
